The Middle School Choral Festival is ETVA's annual adjudicated festival
for middle schools. Participation in
this festival is open to all ETVA members' middle
school choirs in grades 7-8. 6th grade students may
participate if they are in a choir with 7th and/or
8th graders. Choirs may perform for comments only or
for rating.Choirs performing in the MS festival must perform
two
contrasting pieces chosen from the approved music
list. Choirs also choose to perform an additional
piece (which does not have to come from the list) or
to have a brief clinic with one of the judges.
Compositions not on the list may be submitted for
approval to the chairman of the festival. Directors are expected to select quality music for
their performances - no popular music or show tunes
