Terri Ward is the Dean of Faculty at the Webb School of Knoxville. Prior to her administrative duties, she was the Choral Director and Fine Arts Department Chair for the Upper School at Webb. In addition to directing the choral program, during her 19-year tenure at Webb Terri taught Advanced Placement Music Theory, directed 16 musical productions and sponsored the Honor Committee. Under her direction, the Webb choirs consistently received superior ratings at local and national festivals. In 1994, the Webb School Chamber Singers sang at the Southern Region ACDA convention.

Currently, she is the Assistant Youth Choir Director at First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge. Terri has served as President of the Tennessee chapter of the American Choral Directors Association as a member and is a former member of the East Tennessee Vocal Association and the Music Educators National Conference. Terri is a Webb graduate, Class of 1975. She received the B.S. in Music Education from the University of Tennessee and continued her postgraduate studies in Choral Conducting under Donald Neuen and David Stutzenberger. Terri started her 29-year teaching career in 1980 in Atlanta and sang with Robert Shaw in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus. She migrated back to Knoxville to play Jenny in Shenandoah at the Bijou Theater when Knoxville hosted the 1982 World’s Fair and began teaching in the Knoxville area. With a passion for musical theater Terri has played in several shows including The Sound of Music, Hello, Dolly, Gypsy, The King and I, and most recently, Nunsense.
